Proper dosing of products
- Prioritise safety: Never mix products, dose them after each other, and keep chemicals out of reach of children.
- Measure the water: Use a test set to measure water values before dosing.
- Correct pH first: Balance the pH value (between 7.2 and 7.6) before dosing disinfection, anti-algae, or flocculants. Refer to the additional explanation about pH value.
- Evening dosing: Dose disinfection products preferably in the evening to maximise effectiveness, as UV radiation from the sun can reduce product effectiveness. Refer to the additional explanation about disinfection.
- Precise dosing: Chemical labels state the recommended dosing amount per unit of water, based on average conditions. Dose accurately to avoid adverse results. Dosing amount is always relative to the volume of your pool.
